Dear Australian friends,

Since the founding of the People’s Republic of China, particularly since the reform and opening up, China has made strenuous efforts to explore and make great strides towards Chinese modernization, making positive achievements and contributions to the development of human civilization. In order to enhance mutual understanding between China and Australia, we are pleased to announce that the“Chinese Modernization in My Eyes: the Australian Perspective” Contest is going to be held by the Chinese Embassy in Australia and the Chinese Consulates-General in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Brisbane and Adelaide from this April.  

Hereby we welcome you, friends from all walks of life in Australia, to actively participate in the event. You are encouraged to share your thoughts, impressions and perspectives on Chinese modernization and China-Australia relations, through such forms as articles, short videos, paintings, and based upon your understanding on China or your own experiences of travelling to, working and living in China. 

Outstanding works will be displayed on the official Facebook, X and other social media pages of the Chinese Embassy in Australia and the Chinese Consulates-General in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Brisbane and Adelaide. Also, the authors will have a chance to be awarded with exquisite souvenirs.
