On August 22, 2024, the Consulate General of China in Perth, in collaboration with the Australia-China Youth Association (ACYA), held Youth Talk on Diplomacy in UWA. Consul General Long Dingbin attended and delivered a speech. The event was also attended by ACYA National President Mackenzie Lang, Malaysian Consul General Eliza, Deputy Consul General of Japan Hasegawa Daisuke, Vietnamese Consul Minh Nguyen and over 60 youth representatives from both countries.
Consul General Long introduced the spirit of the CPC 20th Central Committee's Third Plenary Session, emphasizing China's commitment to further deepening reform comprehensively, promoting high-standard openness, high-quality development, and mutually beneficial cooperation between China and Australia. He expressed hope that the youth of both countries would enhance understanding and contribute to the development of China-Australia relations. Mackenzie Lang remarked on the close economic and trade cooperation and frequent cultural exchanges between Australia and China, suggesting that both countries should strengthen cooperation, manage differences, and open a new chapter in friendly relations.
Youth representatives of the Consulate General, Liu Haitao and Wang Shuwei, engaged with the youth representatives from both countries on topics including the Olympics and China-Australia relations, as well as Community with a Shared Future for Mankind and China-Australia Mutually Beneficial Cooperation. The atmosphere was lively, with enthusiastic participation and active discussions.
