Ms. Fu Lihua, the Consul General in Perth, recently visited the Western Australian Guangdong Association and WA Indo-China Chinese Benevolent Association respectively. Mr. Cai Jiayi, President of the Guangdong Association, and Mr. Zeng Guangyou, President of WA Indo-China Chinese Benevolent Association,along with their council members, joined the meeting.

Consul General Fu extended New Year greetings for the Year of the Horse to the overseas Chinese in both associations and presented them with New Year gifts package. She commended their longstanding contributions to uniting and serving the overseas Chinese community, promoting Chinese culture, and fostering friendly exchanges between China and WA. She also briefed the attendees on China's development achievements and the state of China-Australia relations. She encouraged the leaders and members of the overseas Chinese community to continue their proactive efforts to promote practical cooperation and people-to-people connectivity between China and WA, and support the motherland's rejuvenation and its complete reunification.

In response, Mr. Cai Jiayi and Mr. Zeng Guangyou stated that they will further root themselves in the overseas Chinese community and in WA. Using the excellent traditional Chinese culture as a bridge, they aim to contribute to the development of multiculturalism in Western Australia and to consolidate and deepen the friendship and cooperation between China and Western Australia.
