Consul General Fu Lihua Attends Australia-China Energy and Mining Supply Chain Forum

On March 9, 2026, Consul General Fu Lihua attended the Australia-China Energy and Mining Supply Chain Forum, co-hosted by the China Chamber of Commerce for  Petroleum Industry (CCCPI), the Oriental Pro-Energy Consulting Organization and Axiom Edge Solutions. Over 100 representatives attended the event, including David Michael, Minister for Mines and Petroleum of Western Australia, Ms Ma Li, Secretary-General of CCCPI, as well as industry and business representatives from China and Australia.

Consul General Fu emphasized the complementary advantages between China and Western Australia and highlighted the significant opportunities for deepening cooperation. She noted that the successful convening of the "Two Sessions" in 2026 and the release of the 15th Five-Year Plan outline, along with China’s green transformation and high-standard opening-up, would open new avenues for collaboration in the energy and mining supply chains between China and Western Australia. The Consulate General will continue to serve as a bridge, providing support and facilitation for deeper cooperation between enterprises from both countries.

Minister Michael outlined the extensive and close cooperation between China and Western Australia in fields such as energy and mining. He stated that China is a vital partner for Western Australia and expressed his willingness to actively promote further collaboration.
