On March 24, 2026, Consul General Fu Lihua, accompanied by Consul Yang Xiuqing, paid a visit to Hon Matthew Swinbourn, Minister for Environment,Community Services of Western Australia.

Consul General Fu shared information on China’s "two sessions" and the 15th Five-Year Plan, stating that China and Western Australia have broad prospects for cooperation in areas such as environmental protection and green development and the Consulate General stands ready to actively promote exchanges and cooperation between China and Western Australia.
Swinburne noted that as Western Australia’s most important trading partner, China and Western Australia share common goals in addressing climate change and advancing environmental protection, with huge potential for cooperation. He expressed strong willingness to actively promote related collaboration.
