On May 23, 2026, Deputy Consul General Wang Fengzhong attended the ceremony to celebrate the 4th anniversary of the founding of Multicultural Connect Australia (MCA) and the National Volunteer Week 2026, and delivered a speech alongside Mr. David Scaife, MLA, representing Minister for Multicultural Interests Buti, Ms. Phoebe Corke, Deputy Mayor of the City of Cockburn, Ms. Sherry Dea, President of MCA, and others.

Deputy Consul General Wang congratulated MCA on its fourth anniversary and praised MCA for promoting the best of  traditional Chinese culture and acting as a platform for exchanges and mutual learning among communities of different cultural backgrounds, and expected that MCA will continue with development and make more contributions to China-WA cultural and art exchanges and harmony and progress of all communities.

Mr. Scaife, Ms. Phoebe and others commended MCA’s active participation in WA multiculturalism.

The celebration featured performances presented by Chinese and other communities, which won rounds of applause.
