On 24 May 2026, Deputy Consul-General Wang Fengzhong attended and delivered a speech at a heart health seminar organised by the Australian Chinese Women’s Federation Inc. Tibetan doctor Tashi Dorje gave a special lecture on the prevention of cardiovascular diseases. Ms. Cath Colvin, Manager of Funding and Sector Development, Office of Multicultural Interests, Ms. Zhang Lechun, Councillor of the City of Cockburn,Ms.Nancy Wang, President of the Australian Chinese Women’s Federation Inc, and around 80 elderly Chinese attended the event.

Deputy Consul-General Wang thanked Dr. Tashi for enhancing the well-being of the Chinese community with his professional expertise, and encouraged the overseas Chinese to strengthen their health awareness and safeguard both physical and mental health. Wang also introduced the Law on Promoting Ethnic Unity and Progress of the People's Republic of China, emphasizing that overseas Chinese all belong to the Chinese nation and should stick together and provide mutual assistance to overcome challenges together.

The event lasted approximately two hours. Dr Tashi provided an overview of various types of heart disease and focused on preventive health-care knowledge. The attendees expressed that they had benefited greatly from the seminar.
