On May 26, 2026, Consul General Fu Lihua and Ms Sook Yee Lai MLA jointly attended an education exchange forum between Western Australian school principals and the Zhejiang education delegation. Representatives from Zhejiang's primary and secondary schools, who were in Australia for an education cooperation program, held in-depth discussions with their counterparts from Western Australian schools including AngliSchools International, St Andrew's Grammar, and Perth Modern School. The two sides reached a consensus on promoting sister-school partnerships and strengthening educational cooperation between China and Western Australia. The event was hosted by the Australia China Friendship Society of Western Australia.

In her address, Consul General Fu Lihua noted that Zhejiang and Western Australia have maintained friendly exchanges and close cooperation for nearly four decades since establishing their sister-province/state relationship, with strong people-to-people ties. She encouraged schools from both sides to jointly organize diverse exchange activities, facilitate dialogue and sharing, and continuously enhance mutual understanding, friendship, and trust between the peoples of China and Western Australia.

Earlier the same day, the delegation also attended the graduation ceremony of the Educational Leadership program, a cooperation between Zhejiang Normal University and Edith Cowan University that has lasted for 24 years.
