On May 28, 2026, Consul General Fu Lihua visited the City of Gosnells, met with Mayor Terresa Lynes. The city’s acting CEO Grant Bradbrook and Councilor Emma Zhang were present.

Consul General Fuintroduced China’s new development philosophy, stated that the economies of China and Western Australia are highly complementary, and China’s implementation on the 15th Five Year Plan will bring more opportunities of cooperation between both sides.The Chinese Consulate General is ready to play a bridging role and facilitateGosnells’s cooperation with China. Mayor Lynes  highly praised China’s achievement in economy, commended Chinese Communities’ great achievements in promoting Gosnells’s economic, social and multicultural development, and emphasizedthe city’s willingness to actively expand friendly exchanges and cooperation with China.

Consul General Fu also met with the representatives of the local Chinese community.
