On March 4th, Consul General Dong Zhihua participated the Reception hosted by WA Consular Corps to celebrate International Women'd Day at the Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia.
Consul General Dong Zhihua was joined by Hon. Simone McGURK, WA Minister for Child Protection; Women's Interests; Prevention of Family and Domestic Violence; Community Services , DFAT WA State Office Director Kate Longhurst, Dean of WA Consular Corps and Indonesian Consul General Dewi Tobing and Indian Consul General Dantu Charandasi in a panel focusing upon "Women in Diplomacy". The panelists shared their experiences and perspectives of women's role in politics and diplomacy.
Citing her own experiences as a professional diplomat, Consul General Dong Zhihua commented that Chinese female diplomats are committed to safeguarding the interests of the country and people, dedicated to facilitating the world to view the rapid development of China objectively, and at the same time proactively implement China' independent foreign policy of peace as well as promoting international cooperation to meet with global challenges and build a community with shared future for mankind.
