On February 1, 2026, Chinese Consul General in Perth Fu Lihua, together with Western Australia’s Minister forCreative Industries, Heritage, Industrial Relations, Aged Care and Seniors, Women, Simone McGurk, representing the state Premier, State Member of Parliament, Hon. Pierre Yang MLC, the Lord Mayor of the City of Perth,Mr Bruce Reynolds,attended the "2026 Globe Youth Tech x Arts Festival" event and presented awards to outstanding students. Consul Liu Guannan also attended the event.

In her remarks, Consul General Fu noted that the event combined technological innovation with the arts and humanities, building a bridge of friendship between young people in China and Western Australia and reflecting a vivid dialogue between the educational philosophies and cultural heritage of the two sides. She stressed that China advocates for the preservation and innovation of civilizations, promoting the creative transformation and innovative development of fine traditional cultures worldwide in the process of modernization. She expressed hope that more similar activities would be organized in the future and welcomed more young people from Western Australia to visit China for exchanges.

Minister Simone McGurk spoke highly of the event, stating that it helps young people express themselves, understand diverse cultures, and step onto the global stage. The event was organized by the Australian STEAM Future Education Association.
