On 18 June, Consul General Fu Lihua visited Seven West Media WA, and met with Ms. Maryna Fewster, CEO of Seven West Media WA, Mr. Christien de Garis, Seven Network Perth News Director and Mr. Christopher Dore, Editor-in-chief for The West Australian.

Ms. Fu briefed them on China’s development and China-Australia relations, emphasized that the China-Australia relationship is mutually beneficial in nature. She said that China- Western Australia has a solid foundation for practical cooperation, a wide range of people-to-people exchanges and a broad prospect for further cooperation. She reaffirmed that the Consulate General stands ready to work with the Seven West Media to create a positive atmosphere for mutual understanding and cooperation between China and WA.

Ms. Fewster expressed the appreciation of the above briefing and the willingness to stay in communication with the Consulate General.
