The Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in Perth Holds "Consular Protection on Campus" Lectures

On July 17, 2026, the Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in Perth held “Consular Protection on Campus” lectures in Curtin University and Marshall Center at the University of Western Australia. Around 140 newly enrolled Chinese students and their parents were present.

Deputy Consul General Wang Fengzhong said that the Chinese Consulate General is committed to protecting the safety and lawful rights of Chinese international students and stands ready to support their safe and successful studies in WA.

Vice-Consuls Zhang Bolong and Zhao Zhiwei introduced common safety risks in WA, analyzed the typical scam plots aiming at overseas students, advised on useful resources for self-protection and instant remedies and reminded that the students should effectively safeguard their personal and property safety.
