Consul General Fu Lihua Holds Dialogue with the Western Australian Business Community

On July 30, 2026, Consul General Fu Lihua attended the Second Business Dialogue with the Chinese Consul General in Perth hosted by Australia China Business Council (ACBC) WA. The dialogue was chaired by James Clarke, President of ACBC WA and featured an opening address by Zhu Pengfeng, President of the China Chamber of Commerce in Australia Perth Branch. Representatives from 21 companies and organizations participated, including Rio Tinto, Fortescue, Hancock Iron Ore, Woodside, CBH, Geraldton Fishermen's Co-operative, Perth Airport, Business Events Perth and the University of Western Australia.

Consul General Fu introduced the development of China-Australia relations, China's economic outlook and related policies on high-level opening-up, encouraging the business community to seize opportunities, actively engage in cooperation with China and promote shared development. Participants raised questions on topics such as how to access the Chinese market, strengthen industrial chain collaboration and enhance cooperation in tourism and higher education. Consul General Fu answered each question in detail. The dialogue was conducted in a warm and lively atmosphere and attendees said they had gained valuable insights.
