On July 31,2026, Consul General Fu Lihua attended an Cultural Exchange Assembly as part of the Cultural Exchange Program between Oberthur Primary School and Hangzhou Xingzhi Primary School, and delivered a speech alongside with Ms. Tim Bamber, Principal of Oberthur Primary School, and Mr. Peican Dai, Deputy principal of Hangzhou Xingzhi Primary School. Ms. Sook Yee Lai, MLA, and faculties and students of the two schools attended the event.

In her address, Consul General Fu highlighted the nearly 40 years of sister-province/state relations between Zhejiang Province and WA and the 16 years of sister-schools relations between the two schools. The two-way study tours enhancing lingual and cultural understanding have helped to harvest friendship and open up doors to a broader world for the students of the two schools. Consul General Fu wished the students health and growth, and encouraged them to play the role as young envoys for China-Australia cultural exchanges and people-to-people links, and consolidate the bridge of China-WA friendship and cooperation.

Mr. Bamber and Mr. Dai looked back on the history of cooperation and exchanges of the two schools, spoke highly of the outcomes of the sister-school relations and stressed on continuing and strengthened interactions bonded by Chinese language education.
