Consul-General Fu Lihua Pays a Courtesy Call on Joondalup Mayor Daniel Kingston
On 3 August 2026, Consul-General Fu Lihua paid a courtesy call on Joondalup Mayor Daniel Kingston to exchange views on promoting exchanges and cooperation between Joondalup and its Chinese sister city. The meeting was also attended by the Chief Executive Officer Craig Lloyd, Manager Economic Development and Advocacy Luke Willcock andConsul Yang Xiuqing.

Consul-General Fu briefed on China-Australia relations, China's economic development and the potential for cooperation between China and Western Australia. She reviewed the exchanges and cooperation between Jinan and Joondalup as sister cities, noting that Joondalup is an important city in Western Australia with unique strengths in tourism, education and other sectors, pointing to significant potential for cooperation between the two sides. The Consulate-General is ready to provide support and facilitation for Joondalup's exchanges and cooperation with China.
Mayor Kingston expressed commitment to relations with China and willingness to actively engage in exchanges and cooperation with China.
