THE CHINESE VISA APPLICATION SERVICE CENTER TO BE ESTABLISHED IN PERTH

With the rapid development of Sino-Australia relations, China and Western Australia have continuously strengthened their friendly cooperation and exchanges. Nowadays more and more Australian people visit China for tourist, business and working purpose. In order to provide better services to Australian visa applicants, the Chinese Consulate General in Perth has decided to introduce the Chinese Visa Application Service Center (CVASC) in Perth. CVASCs have been established in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane in the past years and all of them are operating very well.

CVASC in Perth will begin testing operation from 10th July 2013. On behalf of Chinese Consulate General in Perth, the CVASC will receive visa applications from ordinary passport holders in WA.

CVASC is located at Ground Floor Septimus Roe Square, 256 Adelaide Terrace, Perth WA 6000 (Entrance via Victoria Ave). More than 30 buses have stops near CVASC. Applicants can easily get to the CVASC by taking the Red Cat (the 7th stop) and Yellow Cat (the 11th stop). CVASC boasts a 226 square-meter reception hall, with 2 counter for passport collection, 4 counters for visa application (including 1 counter specifically for handicapped applicants). CVASC will be open 5 days a week and will be closed at weekend and Australian and Chinese public holidays.

Extended office hours for submitting applications (from 9:00am to 1:00pm, (Monday to Friday, except Australian and Chinese public holidays)

Phone and e-mail reply on visa enquires

Multi-payment method, accept payment in cash or by debit and credit card 

CVASC will be operated by CITS V Service Australia Pty Ltd, a company legally registered in Australia. CVASC will take all measures to protect the privacy of applicants in accordance with Australian laws. CVASC in Perth will charge the standard service fee as same as CVASC in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. 

CVASC will not involve in visa assessment and decision-making process. The Chinese Consulate General in Perth enjoys the right to approve or reject visa applications, including the type of visa to be issued, the period of validity, the duration of stay and the number of entry based on China's relevant laws and regulations. The Chinese Consulate General in Perth reserves the right to request the applicant to provide additional documents as well as an interview in the Consulate.

With the opening of the CVASC, the Chinese Consulate General in Perth will no longer accept visa applications from ordinary passport holders. Holders of diplomatic, service (official) passport, or applicants qualified for the diplomatic, courtesy, service visa, or applicants applying for the Hong Kong visa/entry permit or Macao visa shall submit their applications directly to the Chinese Consulate General in Perth. Besides, for documents authentication, Applicants in WA still need to apply in the Chinese Consulate General in Perth.
